Strategic Planning is a systematic process for a nonprofit organization to define its long term strategy, or direction, and then make decisions on allocating limited resources on its’ programs or services to best deliver on the mission. Strategic Planning involves establishing a vision for a desired future state, setting some long term goals, and then translating that vision into goals and objectives and a set of action steps to achieve them.
